One Turkish soldier killed in landmine explosion

One Turkish soldier was killed and two members of the security forces were injured in a landmine explosion in a southeastern province of Turkey, the General Staff said Sunday in a statement posted on its website.

One Turkish soldier was killed Saturday in the Beytussebap district of the Sirnak province after stepping on a landmine planted by terrorists, the army said.

Two members of the security forces were also injured in the explosion, it added.
