Village guard killed in landmine blast in southeastern Turkey

A Turkish village guard was killed when a landmine exploded in the southeastern province of Sirnak, Dogan News Agency reported on Sunday.

Two other village guards were injured when the landmine planted by PKK terrorists exploded in the Uludere district of the Sirnak province, the agency said.

In a separate incident, a member of the PKK surrendered to security forces in the Silopi distrcit of Sirnak late on Saturday, Dogan News Agency reported.
