Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu has said that Turkey and the United States had created a global counter-terrorism forum which included more than 30 countries.
“I have been in New York for the last ten days to attend the 66th Session of the UN General Assembly. I had the chance to hold a series of bilateral talks with foreign ministers of many countries. International community assess activities and influences of countries on the basis of their actions at the UN General Assembly. Given to this, Turkey has an increasing global influence. Turkey and France will sign next week an agreement to cooperate in countering terrorism.
French Interior Minister Claude Gueant will pay a formal visit to the Turkish capital of Ankara on October 6, and the two countries will sign an agreement on cooperation in domestic security.

Two civilians were killed Monday night when suspected members of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party, or PKK, opened fire on police officers and civilians in the southeastern province of Batman.
Mizgin Doğrul, a 35-year-old woman who was eight months pregnant, and her 4-year-old daughter were killed in the attack.
Doğrul’s unborn baby was saved, but the attack wounded two more children from the same family, one of whom is in critical condition. Three police officers were also injured. Read the rest of this entry »
Siirt Governor’s Office stated on Sunday that a group of PKK terrorists attacked Belenoluk Gendarmery Command in Pervari town of Siirt. When security forces responded the attack, a clash erupted, and six soldiers died and 11 others were injured in the clash. Read the rest of this entry »
Three people were killed Wednesday night in Van province in southeastern Turkey in an armed conflict between security forces and alleged members of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party, or PKK.
