Turkish prime minister said on Tuesday that Europe was still condoning terrorist organization.
Premier Recep Tayyip Erdogan said there was a terrorist organization that was staging cruel attacks on security forces, taking civilians as target and massacring children, a pregnant woman and an unborn.

Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said Monday that they conducted intense talks with the central Iraqi government as well as with the regional administration in north of Iraq in order to end the presence of the terrorist organization PKK in Iraq.

Turkey will raise the pressure on both Arbil and Baghdad to further cooperate in its fight against the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), the Turkish foreign minister said yesterday. “While launching an intensified and deep relationship with all segments of Iraq, we have also intensified our contacts with the Iraqi central government and northern Iraqi regional government for the full elimination of the terror organization from Iraq,” Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu said. Turkish security forces killed a PKK terrorist who hijacked a ferry with 18 passengers aboard in a pre-dawn operation on Saturday, a Turkish official said. No one else was hurt in the operation.
The terrorist hijacked the Kartepe ferry Friday evening around 5:45 p.m., taking hostage the passengers including five women as well as four crew members and two trainees.
Istanbul Governor Huseyin Mutlu said the hijacker was shot dead right after the forces boarded the ferry, adding that there was no fire fight. Read the rest of this entry »

EU Affairs Minister Egemen Bağış has urged European countries to cooperate with Turkey in its counterterrorism efforts against the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), which he claimed was “the largest human and illicit drug trafficking network in Europe,” a comment that came on top of piling resentment of Turkish officials toward Europe for indirectly financing the organization.

US Assistant Secretary of Defense for International Security Affairs Alexander Vershbow led an interagency delegation to Ankara on Thursday to discuss ways to improve US-Turkey cooperation against the terrorist Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), a statement from the US Embassy in Ankara said.

Two police officers were killed in an attack by the suspected members of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) in the southern province of Osmaniye today, daily Hürriyet reported on its website.
